Applications open for Indigenous Language Revitalization Scholarships

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is now accepting applications for Indigenous Language Revitalization Scholarships.

Ten scholarships valued at $5,000 each will be awarded to eligible NWT students enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree programs, or other training that supports Indigenous language revitalization during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Priority will be given to NWT students enrolled in programs offered by accredited post-secondary institutions.

The application deadline is December 1, 2022 at 5 p.m. (MST).

Interested students can apply for the scholarship at www.gov.nt.ca/ILR-scholarship.
