The Community Wellness Initiative supports healthy lifestyle initiatives in NWT communities. Support is available for communities to develop and implement Community Wellness Plans and achieve wellness goals.
Overview
The Community Wellness Initiative supports healthy lifestyle initiatives in NWT communities with federal funding. Healthy lifestyles are kept by promoting physical activity, healthy eating, and positive relationships within families, and time on the land.
Community Development and Wellness Planners are the main point of contact for Wellness Initiative funding and support. They are available to support communities to develop and implement Community Wellness Plans and achieve wellness goals.
